Sales Support Specialist (Former Employee) says

"Working at opened really helped me grow in my career as to what i am truly looking for to grow and what i am not looking for. Unfortunately the company is a business and will make business decisions that are best for the company and do not have any care or compassion for their employees.None!Bad Management, Company does not care about the employee, Once you are in a position you will be stuck there until you leave, You cannot grow in the company to have an actual career."

IT (Current Employee) says

"The company had promise when I first started there a year ago, but since then, they have expanded and become more corporate. They have taken to applying policies and procedures that are common among all call centers. They do not care if you leave, the company has become transient and overly strict. If you like being treated like a child, than this is the job for you.Pay and over timeEveryrhing else"

Senior Account Director (Former Employee) says

"At my previous employer, my managers were very young and lacking in professionalism. I was always expected to do more for the same pay and no promotion. After feeling that my value was not recognized i decided to aim higher."

"This company was stressful and no advancement. And favoritism was a huge problem in this company as if you did not live in a cheaper state you would not be considered for advancement."

Technical Support (Former Employee) says

"Call after call all day long. Training is lacking with no additional training afterwords. Management was distant. Teamwork was lacking. Trying to get assistance with problems was difficult. Most of the Clients were friendly.Food was brought in often.Attendance policy was terribly strict."

Account Maintenance Specialist Tier 2 (Former Employee) says

"They will not let you grow in the company, they will keep you in the same place if they want to hold you back. Co workers will know your skills and see up to you but management will not allow you to go up to next promotion if you are not one of their friends. I really enjoyed working there when it was not integrated with global payments"

Sales Support Specialist (Former Employee) says

"The business really depends on who your boss and their boss is. Some departments are great. There is flexibility and a lot of fun. Atmosphere is great. Other departments are very stressful with mandatory overtime, low compensation and terrible and rigid managers."

Technical Support (Current Employee) says

"Getting paid well to help people solve problems is satisfying. It's very hard to move up in the company unless you are friends with someone on a higher tier."

Pricing/Financial Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Good place to work, but some departments depending on who the manager is are better than others. Some managers have favoritism and do not treat all team members the same"

Quality Assurance Analyst (Former Employee) says

"Focus on rote test execution and inability to put resources toward alleviating this burden made me seek greener pastures. Having been bought out, the management seemed a little timid about taking risks.Good peopleStuck using last century test methodology"

Senior Engineering Manager of a Progress Server (Current Employee) says

"Good work life balance, Lots of learning opportunities. Flexible working hours. Innovation is part of work culture. Growth opportunities are less as it's a small organization.Good work life balanceTop management strategies change very frequently"

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says

"If you want to work for a place that has paid time off but thats the only time off you get.. (no seriously you cant even ask off for dr. With a dr. Notes if you have no pto without getting a point) oh and you only have 6 points till your terminated. They are generous with pay and days off for pto. If you are expecting a child you only get 3 days... 3 DAYS of maternity leave.. so sucks if you have a c section.. lets hope you didnt waste your pto for morning sicknesses or dr appointments. They also took a month to hire as well. Also they have way to many programs to learn with, I counted 21 at least and wasnt done learning all of them.Pay, benefits, schedulePoint system, time off, 21+ programs to know"

Technical Support Tier 1 (Former Employee) says

"it was just an ok job after the company was bought out 4 years ago we went from people to just a number we were bought by a big corp, that has global offices and the job went down hill"

Technical Support Specialist (Former Employee) says

"OpenEdge was a fantastic place to work at. I had good co-workers, good managers, trainers, and their facilities were clean and well kept. The job was very stressful however, lots of long phone calls, not a lot of information on common tech issues was provided, and often times cases got stuck in a loop between OE and the software creators.Benefits, Good co-workersStressful, very little assistance with cases/calls"
